This summer, major restoration works began at The Royal Mausoleum at Frogmore, the final resting place of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The Mausoleum is located near Frogmore House, which stands about half a mile south of Windsor Castle in Windsor Home Park.
The Royal Mausoleum is a mausoleum for Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert, Prince Consort. It is located on the Frogmore estate within the Home Park at Windsor in Berkshire, England. It was listed Grade I on the National Heritage List for England in October 1975.

The Mausoleum is located near Frogmore House in Windsor Home Park, southeast of Windsor Castle. Victoria instructed Ludwig Grüner, Prince Albert’s principal artistic advisor, and architect Albert Jenkins Humbert to design the building.

The Mausoleum of The Duchess of Kent, mother of Queen Victoria, stands on a wooded mound to the west of Frogmore House. In 1859, two years before her death, The Duchess asked Prince Albert to have a mausoleum built for her.
Frogmore House is currently closed to visitors. Please note that the Royal Mausoleum is not open to visitors but the external areas are included as part of a tour. A visit to Frogmore House typically lasts two hours.
