Peter Capaldi (* 14. April 1958 in Glasgow , Schottland ) ist ein britischer Schauspieler sowie Film- und Fernsehregisseur . 1995 wurde er für und mit seinem Film Franz Kafka’s It’s a Wonderful Life mit dem Oscar in der Kategorie „Bester Kurzfilm“ ausgezeichnet.
Peter Capaldi is a Scottish actor, director and writer. His first acting role was in a 1974 performance of the play An Inspector Calls. He made his first onscreen appearance in the 1982 film Living Apart Together as Joe Edwards.
Capaldi attended drama classes and was accepted into the Glasgow School of Art. After graduating he secured his breakthrough role in Local Hero (1983).
