Wet Sand is an ongoing manhwa written and illustrated by Doyak. First released in 2022, It has been published by Ridibooks and in English by Tappytoon. Wet Sand officially published a book format in Korean language by Do7 ENTERTAINMENT on December 12, 2022. Season 1 consists of chapters 1-38.
Click. A thoughtless finger slip leads Jo to snap a picture of Ian smoking on his balcony - and thus, their fates begin to intertwine. Jo can't stop fantasizing about the tall, handsome stranger on the balcony, and he grabs any chance to get to know him better.
Ian / Shin Youngwoo
A thirty-four year-old retired gangster who seems cold. He was born on February 19th. He left the gang K35 because of his conscience and owes a big debt he has to pay off to his former boss. He often brings guys over to his place and sees Jo for the first time when he's smoking on his balcony after having just hooked up with a guy. He is an old friend and “lover” of TJ who he's known for nineteen years. He asks Jo out to grab a beer together and afterwards asks if he wants to come to his place for more drinks.
TJ / Oh Taejoon
An infamous thirty-four year-old gang boss who's outgoing and aggressive from surviving in gang society. He was born on November 11st. He brought the Asian gangs together and despite having a long rap sheet has no criminal record. He is the lover of Ian who he's known for nineteen years. He gets annoyed when he can't contact Ian and he moves without telling TJ. TJ gets someone to give Ian a task smuggling drugs at a club and later has lunch with a detective, offering to get his sick daughter a donor if he does nothing. When visiting his boss Jason he tells him he has family in Youngwoo when Jason tells him it's time he gets married and has a family.
Jo / Joseph Landi
A friendly twenty-seven year-old amateur photographer. He was born on December 20th. He recently quit his job at a company to move in with his aunt and help out with her restaurant. One day while taking out the trash he sees Ian in a bathrobe, smoking on his balcony and their eyes meet and he accidentally takes a photo of him. Afterwards he has a dream about him. When Ian comes to his family's restaurant, he tries to clear up the misunderstanding between them and learns his name. Later on Ian asks Jo to grab a beer with him to Jo's joy.

6. Juli 2023 · ANZEIGE. Während einer Q&A-Session in Deutschland enthüllten „Wet Sand“-Autorin DOYAK und Redakteurin Eunjoo Kim einige Details zur Länge des Webtoons und zu einer zukünftigen Animation. Der Titel startete Ende Juni als vollfarbige Printausgabe auf Deutsch.
21. Dez. 2022 · Es gibt Boys-Love-Nachschub bei altraverse! Der deutsche Verlag aus Hamburg enthüllte im letzten #altralive, dass man sich die Rechte an dem südkoreanischen Webtoon »Wet Sand« sichern konnte und den düsteren Manhwa ab 2023 auf Deutsch herausbringen wird.
