On March 31, 2005, a DVD was released titled "Air Memories" which contained commercials, staff commentaries, and clean ending sequences from Episode Twelve and Thirteen. Air was one of the first anime series to be released on Blu-ray, released on December 22, 2006. A new version of the Blu-ray was released on November 28, 2008 in Japan.
On April 27, 2007, ADV Films announced that they had bought the license for the anime series and the movie adaptation of Air.
