Mount Joy Township is a township that is located in northwestern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 10,753 at the time of the 2020 census. [2] Geography. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 28.0 square miles (72.4 km 2 ), all land.
Mount Joy is located between Manheim and the river towns of Western Lancaster County along what was once the Harrisburg-Lancaster Turnpike, the major road between Lancaster and Harrisburg. Today that road is called the Harrisburg Pike (Pennsylvania Route 230).
We are an aristocratic English name, formerly one word (Mountjoy), but now two (Mount Joy). This explains the ship on the main street of a land-locked town, and the Irish names in the middle of Pennsylvania Dutch country. Ours is a distinct and distinguished heritage—one that every Mount Joyian, past, present and future can claim.
Mount Joy, also known as the Peter Legaux Mansion, is an historic, American house that is located in the Spring Mill section of Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

2016–2017: Origins
Having first met in high school in Philadelphia, PA, Matt Quinn and Sam Cooper reunited in Los Angeles in 2016 and began working on music. Says Quinn, "It was just one of those cool, serendipitous life moments where a person that I’d been making music with in high school ended up in the same city as me, and I didn’t really know anybody else ... 2018: Mt. Joy
Throughout 2017, the now five-piece band recorded additional tracks with producer Jon Gilbert at his home studio in Pasadena, California, and released their self-titled debut album, Mt. Joy, on March 2, 2018. The song "Silver Lining" went to #1 on the Billboard Triple A charts. As of June 2020, tracks from the album have garnered more than 200 million streams on Spotify. 2019–2020: Rearrange Us
The band toured with Rainbow Kitten Surprisein January and February 2019, then performed their own headlining tour in March and April 2019. During the summer of 2019, Mt. Joy recorded their second album, Rearrange Us, with producer Tucker Martine at his studio Flora Recording And Playback in Portland, Oregon.
