1. Nov. 1991 · NFNA Flight nurses from across the country founded the National Flight Nurses Association (NFNA) in 1981. The founders included Jean Mason, RN; Marcia Katz, RN; Sally Nielson, RN; and Pat Noonan, RN. The organi- zation began its first year with 160 members and ended the year with more than 300 members.
