The Erlking is from folklore; there are many interpretations of him that Limbus could be drawing from. So I looked through various versions of Erlkings and Wild Hunt leaders across folklore and literature in an attempt to find any that resemble ours, with some interesting results.

However it seems like Erlking remains in the world it came from, taking his revenge from the mansion that abused him. The assumption is he died. The wording is a bit loose, but there is a line saying they had to call LCA to cleanup a body of some kind, which I assumed to be Erlking. Chances are he’s just dead.
