Daniel Roland Lanois CM (/ l æ n ˈ w ɑː / lan-WAH, French:; born September 19, 1951) is a Canadian record producer and musician. He has produced albums by artists including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel, Robbie Robertson, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Spoons, and Brandon Flowers.
Daniel Lanois ist ein kanadischer Musiker und Musikproduzent. Bekannt ist er vor allem für die Produktion erfolgreicher Alben von z. B. U2, Bob Dylan oder Peter Gabriel. Eine intensive Zusammenarbeit pflegt Lanois auch mit Brian Eno und Wim Wenders.
In 1983, he had his first recording experience when he recorded the album Apollo with his brother Brian Eno and Canadian producer and musician Daniel Lanois at Lanois' Grant Avenue Studios in Hamilton, Ontario.
