Man kann im Englischen durchaus einen Brief mit „Dear George oder Dear Charlotte“ einleiten und im Anschluss einen sehr formellen Text schreiben. Was auf Deutsch wie ein Widerspruch klingt, ist es im Englischen keineswegs.
