   11. Feb. 2007 · James Carr's "Complete Goldwax Singles" stayed in the No. 1 position on my 10 CD changer for almost 2 months before I clicked onto another CD. It's that darn good. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who loves "Deep Soul", "Southern Soul" or likes to listen to mid-late 1960's Memphis R&B and wants to explore music not recorded at Gold Wax's better known rival (Stax - Volt).
