North Hollywood wurde 1887 von der Lankershim Ranch Land and Water Company gegründet. Students who live in North Hollywood High School boundaries from outside the LAUSD, should bring a transcript from their last school so we can properly enroll them in classes and give them credit for previous high school classes they have completed. Transcripts may be furnished after the student is enrolled if necessary.
North Hollywood High School, along with the Los Angeles Unified School District, has developed a Parent and Family Engagement Policy and North Hollywood has come up with a School-Parent Compact for the 2023-24 school year. Paper copies will be available in the Main office. One of the greatest aspects of high school life is being part of a club.

It is estimated that the completion of this new modernized school will be in the Spring of 2026. With a budget of roughly three hundred million dollars, this is the most significant modernization project in LAUSD.
