Explore Waynflete Founded in 1898, Waynflete School is an independent, co-ed day school for preschool through grade 12 located in the heart of historic Portland, Maine. Waynflete regularly competes for regional and state championships and sends a significant number of student athletes to college teams. Students explore movement in Early Childhood, gross motor skills in Lower School, mastering the rules and techniques of team sports in Middle School, and team- and skill-building through competitive play in Upper School.
Using the Reggio Emilia approach, our Early Childhood instructors create immersive, multidisciplinary, in-the-moment learning experiences to spark and support the natural curiosity and creativity of each child.
