The Tierney Sutton Band (Christian Jacob/piano; Kevin Axt/bass; Ray Brinker – drums) performed for over 20 years. They played Jazz At Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and The Hollywood Bowl.
There, she formed her long-running Tierney Sutton Band with pianist Christian Jacob, bassist Trey Henry, and drummer Ray Brinker. As a follower of the Baha'i religion, Sutton incorporated tenants of her faith into her work with the band, including a strong group dynamic in which each member contributes to the whole. The end-title song “Flying Home” features music by Eastwood and lyrics by Tierney Sutton and JB Eckl. It is performed by Tierney Sutton and The Tierney Sutton Band.
