The London Sessions are legendary with many other great blues artists crossing the pond to perform with the cream - pun intended - of British talent but for me this was and remains the best of the series. Rory apart the cast also includes Rich Grech, Steve Winwood and Mitch Mitchell. Naturally a Muddy mainstay in Sam Lawhorn is also on board.

Muddy Waters und Rory Gallagher (von dem man kaum etwas hört), das hat irgendwie nicht gefunkt. Es fehlt einfach die Spannung, es fehlen die Höhepunkte. Muddy hat als Verstärkung Sammy Lawhorn (guitar) und Carey Bell (harp) mitgebracht, auf britischer Seite wirken neben Rory Gallagher noch Steve Winwood (keyboards), Georgie Fame (keyboards), Rick Gretch (bass) und Mitch Mitchell (drums) mit.
