Samuel Marx (born Simon Marx; October 23, 1859 – May 10, 1933) was the father of American entertainment group (the) Marx Brothers, stars of vaudeville, Broadway and film, and the husband of Minnie Marx, who served as the group's manager.

Sam Marx, der wegen seiner Herkunft meist „Frenchie“ genannt wurde, war zunächst Tanzlehrer , ergriff dann den Beruf des Schneiders , um seine immer größer werdende Familie, wenn auch eher notdürftig, zu ernähren.

While managing the Marx Brothers, she also went by the name of Minnie Palmer so that booking agents would not know that the agent representing the Marx Brothers was actually their mother.
