Her husband, Fred Valle, told The Associated Press that Colon died early Friday in a New York hospital because of complications from a pulmonary infection.

Miriam Colon (August 30, 1936 - March 3, 2017) was a Spanish actress. She portrayed Abuelita in Better Call Saul. Colon is best known as the matriarch of the Montana family in the 1983 film "Scarface (1983)" where she played the mother-in-law for Steven Bauer's character. The film also featured Mark Margolis.
