Beth Tweddle. Elizabeth " Beth " Kimberly Tweddle MBE (born 1 April 1985) is a retired British gymnast. She is the most successful British gymnast, male or female, in the history of the sport. She was the first female gymnast from Great Britain to win a medal at the European Championships, World Championships, and Olympic Games.
Beth Tweddle’s collection of medals speaks for itself but doesn’t tell the full story of her seminal impact on British Olympic sport. After world bronze medals in 2003 and 2005, injury kept her out of the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Later that year, she became Britain’s first-ever world champion in gymnastics.
11. Okt. 2023 · Beth Tweddle Gymnastics was founded in 2010 by Olympic Medallist Beth Tweddle MBE to provide gymnastics classes for children aged 2+ years at its venues across the North of England. Beth Tweddle Gymnastics also runs a successful National Curriculum programme to improve the provision of gymnastics in many schools local to its venues, alongside upskilling the teachers through training.
