Joseph Sieyès. Emmanuel-Joseph Sieyès. Comte de Sieyès, ( Frejús, 3 de maig del 1748 - París, 20 de juny del 1836) va ser un polític, revolucionari, assagista i acadèmic francès, un dels teòrics de la Revolució Francesa i de l'era napoleònica. Va néixer a Frejús, a la Provença, i va ser educat per l'Església a la Sorbona.
Emmanuel-Joseph Sieyès. Emmanuel-Joseph Sieyès (ur. 3 maja 1748 we Fréjus, zm. 20 czerwca 1836 w Paryżu) – francuski duchowny katolicki, opat, jeden z głównych inicjatorów rewolucji francuskiej, a następnie instytucji Konsulatu, urzędnik w okresie I Cesarstwa.
His writings also had a practical impact. Yet he had trained as a priest, only entering political life in 1788. His subsequent fate became intertwined with that of the Revolution. Ironically, Sieyes, who helped ‘open’ the revolution, also played a part in its conclusion, laying the ground for Napoleon’s coup d’état of 1799. Share.

Emmanuel–Joseph Sieyès was born at Fréjus, 3 May 1748. He was educated at a Jesuit school, became a licentiate of the canon law, and was appointed vicar–general by the bishop of Chartres. He first came into prominence with the publication of his pamphlet,
