Als 1969er-Jahrgang bekam ich von den frühen Hits von Slade ursprünglich nicht viel mit. Lediglich das erst 1983 entstandene "My oh My" war mir aus meiner Jugendzeit in guter Erinnerung. Als ich im Jahr 2010 auf einem Webradio allerdings die Titel "Coz I Luv You" und "Cum on Feel the Noize" hörte, begann sich spät, aber doch, meine Faszination für diese Band zu entwickeln.
