I grew up listening to Ernie and Paul on WJR. I will add to this conversation that Bo Schembechler unceremoniously fired Ernie Harwell. He supposedly did it for Tom Monahan, who was about to sell the team. I was pissed. I never forgave Bo Schembechler and boycotted the Tigers for a several years and Domino’s Pizza forever after that.
