FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Marquette University track and field's Daylee Braden competed in the 800m at the NCAA West First Round on Thursday night. Braden, who owns the program record in the 800m, ran a 2:09.75 to finish seventh in her heat and 40th overall. It was only her seventh 800m race in her career.

Senior Dan Weizeorick finished ninth in the 3000m steeplechase at 9:04.30. Lexi Keppler ran the 5000m for the first time in her career, finishing 59 out of 209 runners at 18:05.38.

The Golden Eagles will kick off their indoor campaign at the Blue & Gold Invite hosted by Notre Dame on Friday, Dec. 3. MU will then travel to DePaul for the DePaul Holiday Invite on Dec. 10.

Marquette track & field has had three months to prepare for what comes Friday: the Big East Indoor Championships. The championships span two days — Friday and Saturday — at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track and Field Center at Gately Park in Chicago.
11. Mai 2024 · PHILADELPHIA – Marquette University track and field wrapped up competition at the 2024 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships on Saturday. Daylee Braden set a new program record in the 800m by over two seconds at 2:04.93 for fourth place. That time qualifies Braden for the NCAA first round.
