Verwaltung, Archiv und Bibliothek. Die Verwaltung der KZ-Gedenkstätte Dachau befindet sich im Ostflügel des ehemaligen Wirtschaftsgebäudes. Sie ist Montag bis Freitag von 8–17 Uhr besetzt. Das Archiv und die Bibliothek der KZ-Gedenkstätte können nach vorheriger Anmeldung dienstags bis freitags von 9-17 Uhr benutzt werden.

The Dachau complex included other SS facilities beside the concentration camp—a leader school of the economic and civil service, the medical school of the SS, etc. The camp at that time was called a "protective custody camp," and occupied less than half of the area of the entire complex.
In 1997 work commenced on redeveloping the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. A new main exhibition was opened in 2003.
