The translation of the Bible into German by Luther also played a crucial role in making the scriptures accessible to the common people, further promoting the spread of Lutheranism.

Vor 3 Tagen · Over 500 years ago, Martin Luther wrote a personal letter to his friend Philip Melanchthon to encourage him. Philip had been struggling with his own Tiny Puritan and had become filled with despair. Luther’s advice? Sin boldly, but believe even more boldly in the grace of God. At the conclusion of the letter, Luther wrote, “God does not save those who are only imaginary sinners.”
