Booker T. Jones. Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, arranger and producer, born 12 November 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee. Founding member of Stax ' in-house band Booker T & The MG's in 1962. He left Booker T & The MG's and the label in 1970, to embark on a career as a producer and solo artist. Father of Booker T. Jones III and Liv Jones .
Booker T. Jones und Steve Cropper entwickelten hierfür sukzessive ein Riff, an das sie sich erinnerten. Innerhalb von 30 Minuten wurde es verfeinert und für die anderen Instrumente arrangiert. Nach zwei Takes war ein Instrumentalstück komplettiert, das heute als Green Onions bekannt ist.

Booker T. Jones (born November 12, 1944) is an American musician, songwriter, record producer and arranger. He is famous as the leader of the band Booker T. & the M.G.'s . He has also worked in recording studios with some of the highest regarded musicians of the 20th and 21st centuries, and in 2007 was given a Grammy Award for a lifetime of good work.
