At SFS, we are committed to giving students of all backgrounds the opportunity to study international affairs. Over 50% of our graduate students receive some funding from Georgetown University in order to attend. Our students also utilize external funding opportunities from private foundations and government fellowships, in addition to loans.
SFS professors bring their real-world experience into the classroom, often mentoring students, advising on career paths and helping to build networks. The following stats are based on a 82.9% knowledge rate, calculated from the known status of the Class of 2022 and sourced from the Cawley Career Education Center. 70.31% Successfully Employed.
23. Jan. 2024 · So far, my experiences at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service have been nothing short of astounding. I love the professors, coursework, and environment. Courses are excellent, professors are engaging, the staff is extremely proactive and helpful. Material covered is exactly what I wanted to study.

Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service Established in 1978, the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy is a research and teaching institute in the School of Foreign Service that seeks to bridge theory and practice in exploring global problems and the changing landscape of diplomatic engagement.
