12. Mai 2024 · Garland Jeffreys followed up Ghost Writer a year later with the great record One-Eyed Jack in 1978. In 1979, Garland Jeffreys released the sensational American Boy & Girl album. While Ghost Writer will always remain our favorite Garland Jeffreys album, his 1981 record Escape Artist comes in a close second.

Garland Jeffreys ( Brooklyn, New York, 29 juni 1943) is een Amerikaans singer-songwriter . Jeffreys studeerde aan Syrace University in Syracuse (New York) en trad daarna op in nachtclubs in de stad New York. In 1969 vormde hij de groep Grinder's Switch. Ze namen een album op voor dat ze in 1970 uit elkaar gingen.
