Days of Our Years, by Pierre van Paassen (read 4 Dec 2017) This was the best selling book in non-fiction in 1939 and I remembered its fame when I saw it in a library and so decided to read it. It is autobiographical, the author having been born on 7 Feb 1895 in the Netherlands and his account of his youth there is kind of lyrical and moving.
