Pete Jones ist ein freischaffender Künstler, dessen Werk ohne die Unterstützung seines breiten Freundeskreises nicht denkbar wäre. Der Name ist ein Pseudonym, zusammengesetzt aus den Vornamen der beiden ersten Unterstützer, die von Anfang an den Künstler, seine Werke und "Die Sammlung Jones" geglaubt haben.
Pete Jones nähert sich seinem Gegenstand mit höchster, fast chirurgischer Präzision. Doch er nimmt keine Eingriffe vor, sondern bemüht sich „nur“ um eine bessere Wahrnehmbarkeit des Geldes und erschafft damit eine neue, nie da gewesene Sichtweise auf die Schönheit von Banknoten und Facettenhaftigkeit von Geld.
