16. März 2007 · Jamie returns to his hometown in search of answers to his wife's murder, which occurred after receiving a weird package containing a ventriloquist dummy named Billy, which may be linked to the legend of ventriloquist Mary Shaw. Dead Silence does succeed in one major aspect though - it showcases James Wan's incredible talent. The lighting and camera tricks he employs, the soundtrack he uses, the lack of any sound at all during certain scenes and most importantly his never-ending ability to scare the living shit out of audiences are all on display here just as much as in his more respected work.
