Saint X made for an interesting reading experience. I didn’t love the characters, but I found Schaitkin’s writing style hypnotic. I felt as if I were in a trance while reading this. The pace is slow but compelling enough to keep one reading. Themes of class, race, sexuality, and privilege (amongst others) had me constantly thinking.
