Joan Robinson (born October 31, 1903, Camberley, Surrey, England—died August 5, 1983, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire) was a British economist and academic who contributed to the development and furtherance of Keynesian economic theory. Joan Maurice studied at the University of Cambridge, earning a degree in economics in 1925.
Joan Robinson lived in Notting Hill with her parents and sisters She became a Fellow of Newnham College in 1962 and was the first honorary Fellow of King's College in 1979.
