He looks around and sees a man sitting in a booth. When he gets closer, and the man turns, it’s Chuck Shurley (or Carver Edlund, as Metatron assumes him to be).
Chuck's pseudonym is Carver Edlund, a reference to Supernatural writers Jeremy Carver and Ben Edlund.
