New York-based Maria Muldaur was one of the most gifted vocalists of the 1970s, capable of interpreting with solemn passion both folk and blues and jazz and rock songs. A veteran of New York's folk circuits, she sang on the legendary record of the Even Dozen Jug Band (Elektra, 1964) and then enrolled in Jim Kweskin's band (until 1967), where she met her husband Geoff Muldaur.
