John Hartman (March 18, 1950 – December 29, 2021) was an American drummer who was a co-founder and original drummer of the Doobie Brothers. At the band's inception, Hartman was the sole drummer.
John Hartman was born on 3 February 1984 in Annandale, Virginia, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for Ghosts (2021), Young Sheldon (2017) and The Good Place (2016).
The Doobie Brothers wurden 1969 von Tom Johnston, John Hartman, Skip Spence (ex-Moby Grape) und Gregg Murph in Süd-Kalifornien unter dem Bandnamen Pud gegründet. Gregg Murph verließ bald die Band, als Ersatz kam Dave Shogren. 1970 kam noch Patrick Simmons dazu.
