The museum is open for tours on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Doors will open ten minutes prior and tours will start promptly. No admission after tour begins. The Old Ursuline Convent was erected in 1745 and occupied until 1824 by Ursuline nuns as a convent, orphanage and school for girls.
The school traces its origins to 1850 when members of the order of Ursulines came to Sligo. The following year they established ‘’Nazareth’’, a free primary school.
