2. Mai 2024 · It's Goldenthal's birthday today! I grew up a Final Fantasy fan and soundtrack collector in the 90s and can recall the controversy when Goldenthal was announced to score the movie. The movie was mediocre, but the score remains one of my top of all time.

Goldenthal was named one of two finalists for the 2006 Pulitzer Prize in music for his original two-act opera, Grendel, directed by Julie Taymor.
