There were all those Fabian and Bobby Rydell kinds of teeny bopper acts Chuck was in prison , though he was the original self-contained rock n roll unit. So the Beatles came along and they were quite a spectacle , like a gang.
10. Mai 2024 · When Buddy Holly came out I wasn’t really impressed. Shortly thereafter I was playing pool at a local pub and their satillite radio played the entire album as we played. I went out the next day and bought the album. All killer, no filler and one of my top ten albums.
6. Mai 2024 · I would not assume Buddy Holly would have become irrelevant. 1969 saw Johnny Cash selling records like hot cakes. Jerry Lee Lewis was putting out hits on the country charts and Elvis was still selling out venues every where he went. Conway Twitty, another older act was riding high. Not to mention Buddy’s bass player, Waylon Jennings did just fine long after 1969.
