In addition to our pastoral program, year 10 also have the privilege of participating in work experience. This is new to Cardinal Newman this academic year and something we are delighted to be able to offer our students.
Business Studies is delivered at Key Stage 4 and 5 and offers students a detailed understanding of how businesses operate. Students will critically analyse and evaluate different aspects of the business model including business types, marketing, human resources, production, finance and the impact that the wider world has on the business community.

The wider curriculum (i.e. PSHE, RSE, SMSC, fundamental British Values and careers education) is embedded into our subject curricular and pastoral programme. Stage 4 (Year 10 – 11) *may need to change re: Triple science. All students study the Core Subjects – English, Mathematics, Science, Religious Education and PE (statutory).
Cardinal Newman Catholic School is a Voluntary Aided School within the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton. The Diocese appoints 10 Foundation Governors, who are joined by the Principal, 1 elected Staff Governor, 2 elected Parent Governors, 1 appointed Brighton and Hove City Council Governor and 3 Governors co-opted by the Governing Body.
