Carrera McDonald en 2016. McDonald ha grabado 33 álbumes y ha escrito cientos de canciones a lo largo de 40 años de carrera. In 1977, Country Joe & the Fish temporarily came together again to record an album, Reunion. Beginning in 1982, McDonald became involved with furthering the cause of Vietnam veterans and worked with such groups as Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Swords to Plowshares, and Vietnam Veterans of America. His experience peaked with the release of an album and video, Vietnam Experience, in 1988.

Bandgeschichte. Die kalifornische Band wurde im Jahr 1965 von dem Sänger Country Joe McDonald, genannt Country Joe, und dem Gitarristen Barry Melton, genannt The Fish, in Berkeley gegründet.
