18. Aug. 2011 · "And a Time Time to Dance" from 1983 was the first Los Lobos album two feature songs in English. In fact, it's really a seven tracks EP, containing two traditional songs in Spanish, a cover of Ritchie Valens' "Come On, Let's Go" and four originals written by Los Lobos bandmembers.

...And a Time to Dance is a 1983 EP by Los Lobos. It was co-produced by T-Bone Burnett and Steve Berlin and was the band's first release on Slash Records. The EP brought the band its first wide acclaim. It was voted best EP of the year in the Village Voice's influential Pazz & Jop critics poll. The kind of band you wish you could see down at your favourite bar. None of these Mexican polkas are exceptionally memorable, but neither are Los Lobos a commercial minded entity here. There is not a stinker in the box, and plenty a party would get better with this on tap.
