Willie Weeks was born in Salemburg, North Carolina. His early musical influences were country, pop and R&B songs he heard on the radio. At age 12, he began singing and playing guitar in a local gospel group. In the early 60s, he began honing his skills as a bass player working with a variety of bands around the U.S.
Willie Weeks (born 5 August 1986) is a British musician, songwriter, and record producer. One of his songs with Matt Redman reached No. 1 in the U.S. Billboard Top Christian Albums chart in 2013, [ citation needed ] and he has since worked with and contributed music for Stray Kids , BTS , Monsta X , Cravity , Taeyeon , SF9 , TVXQ , Mark & Xiumin , Oh My Girl and Newton Faulkner .
Willie Weeks was born in Salemburg, North Carolina and began playing bass in the early 1960s, when he was a teenager. Influenced by the music he heard on the radio—country, pop and R&B—and by bassists Ron Carter, James Jamerson and Ray Brown, he developed into an in-demand studio session bassist as well as a member of top-line artists touring bands.
