1963. Susan Ann Sulley (born 22 March 1963), formerly known as Susanne Sulley and Susan Ann Gayle, is an English singer who is one of the two female vocalists in the synth-pop band the Human League. Sulley was born in Sheffield, UK on 22 March 1963. She spent all her early years in the Gleadless suburb of the city.
The Human League then evolved into a commercially successful new pop band, with the line-up comprising Oakey, Wright, vocalists Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley, bassist and keyboard player Ian Burden and guitarist and keyboard player Jo Callis. Susan Ann Sulley (born 22/03/1963 Sheffield, England) is one of the two female vocalists with British Synthpop group The Human League. She joined the group in 1980 after being discovered together with co vocalist Joanne Catherall by original lead singer Philip Oakey in a Sheffield nightclub. She continues recording and performing with The Human League to this day.
In an unplanned move, Oakey visited a Sheffield city-centre discothèque called The Crazy Daisy and recruited two teenage girls whom he saw dancing there, Susan Ann Sulley and Joanne Catherall, to join the band.
