1. Okt. 2010 · Eliane Elias must have fulfilled some contract obligation to release this banal CD - it's not worth the money. The music lacks spontaneity and conviction - and the medley is an absolute mess. If this were the first Eliane CD I'd ever heard, it would have been the last, as well.

Background. Mirror Mirror is the Elias' first piano-only album since her 1995 release Solos and Duets with Herbie Hancock. The present album features an alternating series of duets of Elias with Corea (tracks 1 3 5 7) and Valdés (tracks 2 4 6). In the sleeve-note Elias calls the duets "very special". [9]
