Auch Arrival beschäftigt sich mit den großen Fragen der Menschheit, die natürlich bei solch einem Erstkontakt gestellt werden. Der Film versucht smart damit umzugehen, weiß aber, dass es unmöglich ist, hier wirklich befriedigende Antworten zu liefern, da schon die Fragestellung an sich viel zu groß und doch nie groß genug ist.
