5. Juli 2023 · Letters from Iwo Jima krijgt geen beter openingswoord van mij dan "saai", want dat was het. Eastwood kan erg sterke en realistische cinema regisseren, maar oorlogsfilms van dit kaliber zijn misschien niet voor hem in de wieg gelegd. Zeker omdat deze film, ondanks de Japanse cast, nogal Amerikaans aanvoelt in bijna elk opzicht.
