  4. 10. Juni 2020 · In August of 1941, the Barnet band was in Hollywood, working and having fun.They were working at a place called Casa Manana in the Culver City area of Los Angeles. Also in town was Duke Ellington, Charlie’s idol and major musical inspiration, appearing in the revue Jump for Joy, then running at the Mayan Theater.
