The star of this film is the Springfield "Trapdoor" .45-70 breech-loading rifle. Issued to the U.S. Cavalry shortly after the Civil War, the rifle is credited for helping to "tame the west" (although it didn't help Custer very much). This action-packed film follows the cavalry's adventures in picturesque Wyoming.
