Die epochale Abhandlung Das literarische Kunstwerk des polnischen Philosophen Roman Ingarden erschien 1931 als Original in deutscher Sprache. 1 1937 folgte quasi ein zweiter Band O poznawaniu dzieła literackiego, der erst 1968 in einer von Ingarden verfertigten und wesentlich erweiterten Neufassung in deutscher Sprache unter dem analogen Titel Vom Erkennen des literarischen Kunstwerks herauskam.
