Collage. Die Collage ist sowohl eine Technik der Bildenden Kunst als auch ein in dieser Technik geschaffenes Kunstwerk. Herkömmlich wird ein neues Ganzes geschaffen, indem verschiedene Elemente auf eine Unterlage aufgeklebt werden, wovon sich auch die Bezeichnung ableitet (zu französisch coller „kleben“).

Abstract and austere, constructivist art aimed to reflect modern industrial society and urban space. The movement rejected decorative stylization in favour of the industrial assemblage of materials.

Assemblage the 3D cousin of collage? Even in the Wikipedia article for collage it states that a collage is a type of asssemblage. Therefore assemblages can be 2D. Hey in fact be 2D. If not, it is surely close. In my opinion, the first paragraph seems to contradict the first sentence of the next.
