17. Mai 2024 · Czechoslovakia, former country in central Europe encompassing the historical lands of Bohemia, Moravia, and Slovakia. It was formed from several provinces of the collapsing empire of Austria-Hungary in 1918, at the end of World War I. In 1993 it was split into the new countries of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Geographische Lage [ Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten] Stará Role liegt im westlichen Böhmen, etwa fünf Kilometer nordwestlich vom Stadtzentrum Karlsbads entfernt. Die durchschnittliche Höhe beträgt 392 m ü. m. Durch den Ort fließt die Rolava ( deutsch Rohlau ), ein Nebenfluss der Eger ( tschechisch Ohře ).
(2315) Czechoslovakia ist ein Asteroid des Hauptgürtels aus der Eos-Familie, der am 19. Februar 1980 von Zdeňka Vávrová im Kleť-Observatorium entdeckt wurde. Benannt wurde er zu Ehren der Tschechoslowakei , der Heimat der Entdeckerin.

Czechoslovak infantry armed with vz. 24 rifles. The Czechoslovak Army ( Czech and Slovak: Československá armáda) was the name of the armed forces of Czechoslovakia. It was established in 1918 following Czechoslovakia's declaration of independence from Austria-Hungary .
Invasion and intervention. At approximately 11 pm on 20 August 1968, [61] Eastern Bloc armies from four Warsaw Pact countries – the Soviet Union, Bulgaria, [62] Poland and Hungary – invaded Czechoslovakia. That night, 250,000 Warsaw Pact troops and 2,000 tanks entered the country. [2]
